Jumping for Joy

Molly LOVES the Daddy Daughter Dance. Last year was her first year to go and she had a blast. She and Joey came home with a big stuffed dog, balloons and a jar of m&m's that they won from guessing the correct number of m&m's in the jar. She has slept with the dog every night since. Joey and I went on a "date" a few weeks ago. When we got home she asked where my balloons, candy, and stuffed animal were. I guess she thinks those things come standard with a "date". :-) So this year they didn't win anything cause there were no contests but she was okay with it. Molly had fun spinning with her friend Madeline.

We have a barbie ballerina movie. Molly loves it. She watches a little bit of it almost every night before bed. A few weeks ago Grandma Judy was in town so Molly made her watch the movie with her. Judy said that Molly kept telling her that they needed to show the movie to Daddy so that he would know how to dance with her on their date. She told him that he needed to twirl her way up high to the sky and she's been pulling her legs straight up like a ballerina when she dances. HILARIOUS!It's nice to have a night away to myself but part of me wants to be there hiding behind a two way mirror. Joey did a good job of catching pictures and videos all while chasing these two around. Here's one of Avery "dancing". It's hard to see, but he said Avery just kept clapping and spinning all night.

OOH! I almost forgot. Molly has a new obsession with lip gloss. She thinks that she needs to wear it whenever she has on something fancy. I was showing her the flower girl dress that we were ordering her for Timmy and Rachel's wedding. She asked if that dress had pockets. I told her no and she said in a very concerned voice... "but Mommy... where will I keep my lip gloss?" I told her we could get a purse. She said.. a white one with really pretty flowers. Yeah, sure, whatever you want princess molly! So... here's a shot of her putting on her gloss mid-dance last night. I really don't know where she gets this from. I don't think of myself as a make-up girl and I rarely take time to put on lipstick.
