Forever 29 ;-)

"HI, my name is Hailey Lada, and I am 30 years old".  10 days later... and I still dont' believe it.  TOTAL DENIAL!!   I mean, one minute I feel like I'm 30 with my minivan, 3 kids and my running shorts... then the next minute I am convinced I'm still 21.  I have to admit... I'm pretty proud of where my life is and the things I have accomplished.  3 awesome kids, a fabulous husband, wonderful friends, great health etc.  As much as I cringe at the saying on facebook, "life really is good"  (Disclaimer... it's an annoying saying on facebook cause it's usually super fake and false and braggy etc) I can only hope and pray that I'll get 30 more years as fabulous as the first 30 were!
Joey threw an AMAZING "surprise" birthday party for me!  I won't lie... I wasn't surprised in the slightest but it was still an awesome time!  He had a great partner in crime (Jenny Hanley).  Another confession... I was nervous with the 2 of them planning my party.  Love them both to death but they aren't the best when it comes to a budget.  I was nervous I'd walk into a wedding reception type of party with waiters and a DJ.  They kept it under control and wowed me with thoughtfulness rather than expensive stuff.

I'll let the pictures do the talking here....

There were 30 balloons with 30 words describing me.
My sweet friend Maggie couldn't make it but she sent these festive photo props and a beautiful floral arrangement.
Kim was thoughtful and made these table decorations saying "30 sucks" although... so far, I'd have to disagree.  :-)
Jenny... AKA hostess with the mostess!  She rocks!  Seriously... everything was perfect!
Patrick was able to use the party as an excuse to get some fun new pool toys.  Beer pong, volleyball and a basketball goal are a must for a successful 30th birthday bash!
A few of my coworkers came to celebrate the big 30.  The party wouldn't have been the same with out Melody and Lauryl there.  Especially their slip n slide performance!
So greatfull for all of my friends who came to celebrate with me.

I was so happy to have 2 of my very best friends there... Adam and Lisa!  (even if they did push me in the pool!)
Apparently 30 isn't too old for slip n slide.  Wow, was this fun!  The guys were hysterical.
