Not having my stuff up on thanksgiving was driving me crazy! I started to consider not even putting up my big tree cause we are going to be out of town so much this month. We went to dinner tonight and I came home with a boost of energy and figured I better use it while I had it. Got the tree up, inflatables out, santa pictures out etc.! It feels good to have it all done. Especially since we are heading to Stillwater tomorrow for Bedlam! :-)
Poor Presley has to go through another year with no name on her stocking! Terrible, I know... especially since I have an embroidery machine! In my defense, my machine doesn't have a hoop small enough to fit inside her stocking so I can't do it. I told myself last year that I'd take it to an embroider shop after christmas but never did it. Joey and I came up with a good solution... I can embroider her name on a small piece of green fabric and just pin it on there temporarily until I get it done. (don't hold your breath on that little project getting done though).
The big fancy tree is up. I have a section of lights out and I didn't want to deal with it so I'm leaving it for now.
Got all the Santa pictures out. I love to look at these. There are years where someone's crying, or where we are all in the picture cause no one would sit with Santa. Molly is over the hump of being scared of Santa. Avery claims she wants to sit on his lap, and give him a hug, and tell him all the stuff that she wants... (we'll see if that really happens). I'd put money on Presley not wanting to get anywhere near him. I think we might try to visit him this weekend while we're in Edmond.
This is the tree that's in Molly and Avery's room. They are very possessive of "their" ornaments so they all went on the tree in their room. We also have a big collection of Christmas books. We have a little one in Presley's room too but it's just a tree with lights. I thought she'd be excited over it but she could care less.
TaDa - Joey got the lights up on the house again. They look much better in person. We have two new inflatables this year. I've never been a big fan of those things (especially when they're flat in the yard during the day) but a client of mine gave them to me and I knew the girls would flip over them. (and they did). We told them that santa gave them to us and he sent me a text telling me that if they're bad then he'll take the inflatables to other boys and girls who behave. :-)
The girls have had fun with the nativity. It's perfect for playing too cause it's all little stuffed people/animals.
