Happy New Year!

We hosted a fun new years party at our house. We had a great time but have decided that we need a louder cd player than our dinky boom box. It works great for bedtime music for the girls... not so great for loud dancing music. :-)
Our friends from Durant, Ok made the trip from Dallas to ring in the new year with us. It was great to have them! It's so great to have a friend that you can call and say... let's run to target, or come over and help me decide where to hang this picture, or what are you making for dinner, I don't want to cook and I'm on my way to your house :-) Unfortunately they live in Dallas so it's a little far for those things.
We had a big piece of paper for people to write new years resolutions on. Something about writing it makes it that much more of a commitment. There were the normal, work out more, lose weight, drink more water, stop smoking etc. My favorite was written by our neighbor who also has 3 kids very close in age. He wrote "to not have anymore babies" LOL! I think that will be mine too. I also want to spend more time at home. Last year we were gone (on weekends) more than we were home. That means you spend the rest of the week preparing to leave or unpacking when you get back. I love to see friends and family that are out of town, but I really want to focus more on my kids and husband this year.
