I ventured out with Molly and Avery, on Black Friday, to get a bargain tree at Garden Ridge. We got a 9 ft. skinny tree on sale! Molly decided that she wanted her own tree so I let her have one of the wimpy little trees in her room as her own. She picked out purple bulb ornaments and some multi-colored disco ball looking things. What cracks me up the most is the ornament she picked out.... LIPSTICK :-) My 4 year old picked out a lipstick ornament. (why in the world does garden ridge have lipstick ornaments anyways) . Avery picked out a pink ballerina and dropped it while we were in the check out lane. The ballerina's leg broke off but I bought it cause I felt the guilt. Plus, We were being stared at by many since it was me, a giant christmas tree and 2 small kids in line. Thankfully Grampa Hey is a professional super gluer and was able to put her leg back on.
So... we have 3 trees this year. Mine is the 9ft pretty tree with matching decor, then we have the mini one in Molly and Avery's room. We also have a "family tree" that has all the ornaments that we've collected over the years.
I wasn't sure how Avery would do with all of the Christmas decorations. She kept going up to the little tree in her room blowing it. It was the funniest thing. She thought the lights were candles!! This evening she opened 2 gifts. Lucky for me... they were from my parents to me. I called and thanked them and put the kids gifts back up out of her reach. :-)

Your tree is so pretty! I made Trey get all of the boxes out of the attic but I have yet to open them, I am waiting as long as possible!
