We had company in town this past weekend and Avery CRIED every night while trying to go to sleep. I figured it was just cause she knew we were all still out in the living room having fun. Well, tonight our company was gone, Avery was exhausted and we were able to go through our normal bedtime routine. I figured she'd go to sleep with ease... but she CRIED. So, I got her out of her crib and brought her into Molly's room to read books with Molly. After I finished... I thought, what the heck, I'm going to put her in this big girl bed. She layed right down. I was SHOCKED. I sat at the end of her bed for a minute and then left the room. She did get out of bed twice. She and Molly came walking in our room, and molly said... "mom, avery got out of bed" (in her taddle tale voice). I walked them back into the bedroom and told Avery to get in her bed. She climbed right in, and layed down. I stood outside the door to hear Molly singing to Avery and telling her "lay your head down sweet baby, shhh shhh shhh, it's okay" (this was in her "mom" voice). I really wished that I had my video camera cause it was SO cute!
The second time she got out, they both walked in again, molly said the same thing and joey took them back this time (cause I was enjoying a bowl of ice cream in bed and didn't want it to melt). He said that she got right back in bed and layed down.
EASY as that!
I had no plans to put her in a big girl bed for several months but if every night goes this easy from here on out then I'm sticking to it.

How did the night go?? Did she sleep all night? Maybe its easier just to move them earlier? I'm still not moving Emma for a long time :)
ps.. my girls have been napping for 3.5 hours already today I guess catching up on sleep!!
