The weather in AR has been horrible. It has been raining non stop for 2 weeks. I was so sick of it and needed to get away so off to Houston I went. Last year Avery and I went but this year I decided to take both girls. We had such a great time! The weather was awesome and I'm in love with my parents' neighborhood. It has sidewalks, playgrounds, pools, tennis courts, golf courses, schools, ponds with ducks... Not to mention all of the houses are awesome. What more could a mom with 2.5 kids want. Speaking of moms with kids... there are tons of young families in their neighborhood. I'd really like to know how these young couples can afford houses like that. I mean seriously... my parents' is one of the smallest and it's far from small. Everything in it is nice and new. I'm hoping that's what I have to look forward to some day. In the mean time I'll try not to be jealous. :-)
Here we are on Mother's day. This was taken after church. It was hot and humid and the girls didn't want to look at the camera, but they were matching and I had on the same color so we had to at least try to get a good shot.
This one is on the plane going to Houston. We sat next to a little girl who was flying alone. She was 6! She told me that she was on her way to her auntie's house in Washington. Molly asked her where her mommy and daddy were and she didn't answer. She told me that her grandma cried when she left cause she was going to miss her. She also said that she was going to stay with her auntie until school got out. Hmm - I'm not sure her situation but I'm guessing there could be some family issues. She was such a sweet little girl and she LOVED Avery. I just hope she's well taken care of - whether it be by her auntie or her grandma. Say a little prayer for this cutie.
The pools are open in Sugar Land but only on the weekends (for now). We loaded the girls up into the bike trailer and road down to the most fun pool for little kids.

My goal while in Houston was to get a tan. It's hard to lay by a pool with 2 small kids. The kiddie pool was great, but I roamed around it with the girls. During the week we went to my mom's friends pool. The girls didnt' like it near as well. They're both big chickens and didn't like that they couldn't touch the bottom. So... we thought we were going to have to just pack up and head home for naps. NOT HAPPENING! I was determined to get a tan! I put both the girls in the car, drove around the block and they were OUT. I was able to transfer Avery to a towel in the yard, but I left Molly. :-) The things we'll do for a tan!
My mom and Molly had fun feeding the ducks. Avery didn't like it much and would just eat the old bread crumbs.
AND... I came home to my mother's day gift - a box of chocolate and 2 tickets to the American Idol concert! Good work Joey!

American Idol... how fun! Hopefully Adam wont have a solo!! HA!
I also love the pic or you and your girls... even though they aren't looking. Still cute.
Just to clarify - we didn't really "leave" Molly. We (and the pool) were right on the front side of the iron fence - and there was a fairly decent breeze.
