I've mentioned before Avery is crawling and pulling up. She's all over the place now. I've found her in the dogs water 3 times and she's tried to eat dirt from a plant a couple of times. Basically what this means is that I don't watch her very closely. She's the second child so I'm busy watching Molly or I'm trying to clean up the house etc etc... (mom's of 2 ... you know how it goes).
I was outside helping Molly ride her new bike and Joey was gathering the trash in the house to take it out. When he came outside alone I asked if Avery was sleeping and he said no, I'm trying to hurry so I can get back inside. As he was rolling the trash to the curb he said... I think I hear Avery in there crying so I made Molly get off her bike and I ran in.
I found Avery with a bloody face and a long trail of blood on the kitchen floor. I'm assuming she was trying to pull up on a kitchen chair and fell. Her binky must have jammed up into the top of her lip cause that's where the blood was coming from. I'm not one to freak out but it really did make me panic for a minute. To give you an idea - there was about a 12 foot trail of blood drops behind her. Yikes!
So far... neither of our kids have had any major injuries. Not that this one was major at all, but I realized that finding your child in a good amount of blood is not a good feeling.
For those of you who don't know Joey... He is Mr. Mom. He is such a worrier and is very involved with the girls so for this to happen on his watch was pretty suprising. He felt so bad.
