*********************************************************
I was working on this post when my external hard drive was knocked off the table. I feel lost without it. It's got ALL of my pictures on it. I try not to think about it too much cause I'm really pretty sad about it. Anyways... The videos didn't finish uploading so there's just one of presley. I'm hoping to get a chance to re-record some and start over... for now, this will have to do.
**************************************************************
Okay, so since this is my blog, I can brag about my kids right? If not... too bad...I'm going to do it anyways. I am pretty proud of my girls!
Presley talks all the time. She can repeat just about anything you ask her to but what's even more impressive is her vocabulary. She knows TONS of words. One that makes Joey and I laugh is "ou-side, ram-o-wheen" (outside trampoline). Only a child with two older siblings knows the word trampoline at 21 months old. She can sing several songs. Her favorite is Jingle Bells. The girls got musical tooth brushes in their christmas stockings. Presley really likes it and sings with it all the time.
This video doesn't do her justice... that was about my 4th attempt to get her to read it so she was done performing. I, of course, didn't have the camera out when she "read" it straight through so clearly the first time.
That was "doo-waa waa a way... HEY" You know, Jing-le all the way... hey" :-) Not sure what Avery was so upset about.
Avery - the poor middle child... (or how about the poor parents of a midde child)... no, really, she's a great kid! She's just stuck in the middle and is very much a "middle child" She tends to get a bad reputation because of it, but like i said... she really is good. Spend some time with her and she's sure to make you laugh. Last week our church hosted an Easter festival. There was an egg hunt, cookout, games etc. There was even a play. So they went through the last supper and a few other scenes then at the end they opened the curtain to show Jesus on the cross. Avery says in her loud raspy voice... "LOOK, mommy, that man's naked.... LOOK daddy, that man's taped on that cross and he's naked" Joey and I, at the moment, were so greatful that the play was outside and not in a quiet sanctuary so that only the few people around us heard her. She obsessed over "the naked man" for the rest of the day. The next day we go to her school and took tons of candy filled eggs to reuse for their school easter egg hunt. Avery excitedly hands the bag to her teacher and says... "I went to an egg hunt at my church and that man was on the cross AND HE WAS NAKED!" I shake my head and explain that my 3 year old is obsessed with naked people. Later that night Avery and Molly are playing. Joey goes in the room and Avery randomly says... "daddy, Jesus has a peanut, just like you" Molly - my serious child speaks up and says "yeah avery, we know, jesus is a boy and boys have a penis" and they go on playing like nothing ever happened. They're too funny! Oh and today I mentioned that there were only 2 more days till easter and she better be good cause that bunny is watching. I asked Avery if we knew why we got to celebrate Easter. She replies "cause Jesus died" I asked "where did Jesus die" She said "at his Easter egg hunt" LOL! So maybe she doesn't quite get it yet but it made me laugh. Moral of the story... Avery is a goofball! BUT... she's a smart goofball. She can count by tens... UP to 100! Here's the proof.. (*or not... stupid broken harddrive)
Molly... Like I said before... little miss serious. She is my quiet sponge. She sits quietly soaking up every bit of information she can. She is constantly amazing us with the things that she knows. Thngs that we never taught her. She just learns it all along the way somehow. This video is from several months ago. She is reading all the names of her classmates. (*I think this video might actually be on joey's phone... I'll try to get it uploaded soon)
