First day of school (mothers day out)

This day couldn't come soon enough.  Taking care of three little ones day in and day out has totally wore me out!  Molly's school is Monday through Friday all day, and Presley and Avery go Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-2.  I work on Tuesdays so MDO gives me 2 days to get errands ran, my house cleaned, dinners cooked etc.  I'm hoping to gain back some sanity that I've lost over the last 4 years.
It was really bright that morning.  :-)
The pumpkin bag really didn't go to school, she just insisted on holding it in the picture.

The first day didn't go to smoothly.  Adjusting to waking up at 7:00 and having to be out of the house vs. waking up at 9 and not having to be anywhere has been rough on all of us.  I get the girls up at the last possible minute.  The first day of MDO was a Tuesday which is also the day that I work, so I had to get up and ready for work, then get the girls up and ready and have all their lunches and bags ready to go.  I tried to do as much as I could the night before cause I knew it would be hard in the morning.  We were on track to be on time but during the car ride to Molly's school, Avery threw up in the car.  (she's had a cold and the congestion caused her to choke, which then caused her to throw up).  It was SO gross.  She was screaming "eww yucky", Molly was screaming "she got it on me"  I was wanting to scream.  I had nothing in my car to clean it up so I just told her to sit tight.  She was not happy about it.  Molly's school requires pre-k kids to be walked in to school  so I made a quick phone call to see if they could make an exception so that I wouldn't have to take my puke covered child in.  Thankfully they were happy to help.  So... after dropping Molly off, we rushed home for a bath and change of clothes.  We managed to make it to MDO on time and I made it to work on time as well.  I felt like I had run a marathon before I even made it to work and of course had to work 9:30-8.  UGH!
Avery and Presley both had a really hard time being dropped off.  I on the other hand wanted to skip out of there high-fiving the other moms.  I held back though, since several of them were shedding almost as many tears as my kids :-)  I missed out on the "cry when you drop kids off at school" gene.  Maybe I'll develop it by the time Presley goes to Kindergarten.

I tried to convince Avery that school was fun and that her teachers are both so nice.  She told Joey and I that she wanted to put Miss Lina in the toilet and flush it.  That child says some of the craziest things.  After 2 weeks of school she's doing much better and hasn't said anything too terrible about her teachers.

You must have inherited that gene from me, because I was not a cryer either.

that is so funny- the stinking her in the toilet part- I needed that laugh out loud :)
I wish i wasn't a crier- being emotional is hard- good for you for feeling good about dropping your babies off- it is good for you and them ;)
