Another project

We spent the weekend making over Molly (and soon to be avery's) room. Since we moved to Maumelle Molly has been in a room to herself. She LOVED purple when we moved here so she got purple walls. Her bed was just a twin mattress on a metal bed frame. The walls were decorated with black frames holding pictures of our family. Her bedding was a cheap bed in a bag deal from JCpenny's. Basically the room was fine, but not really that nice or cute.
Our house has 4 bedrooms and we're trying to make room for Presley. We really need to keep a guest room since we have over night company often. Conclusion... Molly and Avery will share and Presley will go in the current nursery, leaving the back bedroom as a guest room.
My mom was in town last week and helped me find beds for the big girls. They're cute and were reasonably priced. Joey approved and bought them Friday after work. He primed Friday night and painted Saturday. He finished early enough Saturday to have time to put the beds together.
I spent most of the day sewing. For their bedding, I got solid pink quilts from TJ Maxx. They're very plain and simple but exactly what I wanted. The room isn't huge so with 2 beds I didn't want busy bedding. I made each of the girls an applique name pillow and plan to get their bedskirts done tomorrow.
So far, I've just got pictures of the pillows. You know I'll post more when it's all done and decorated.
****I found the name pillows on etsy.com but wasn't willing to spend $54 on each of them so I made them myself. After spending all day yesterday and part of the day today, I realized why that woman charges so much. TIME CONSUMING!! I got faster with the second one and imagine that the next one I make will be even better.

OMG!! I love those pillows!!! DIVINE! You have to tell me where you got the beds: I'm looking for a bed or bedroom set for Christian, but with the cost of the matress and bed my cheap self just can't bring herself to spend it!

I love the pillows. REally you have to do one for Emma when I re-do her room into a big girl room!! I love them. I'll pay you for your time too :) Maybe I'll have a fancy machine by then and you can teach me!

Can't wait to see the finished product!
