Molly and Avery go to daycare at a church. One morning when I was dropping them off there was a flyer advertising Awana. It's a church program for kids where you go and learn christian principles. You wear a dorky little vest and when you memorize your verses you get a pin to put on it. I can remember going when I was young so I had to sign Molly up. Since she's just 3 she's in the "puggles" class. They learn very basic christian principles like God made me, God made the sun, God made the trees etc. This week they learned that God made the grass. The program is once a week on Sunday evenings for 2 hours and Molly loves it. They do an art project and sing songs. She is sent home with a weekly calendar that has excersizes for the parents to do with the child to help them grasp the concept of each weeks lesson.
It's super cute! If you've got kids you should check it out. The program is offered all over the US.

That is funny that you posted this... I was just at Chick-fil-a the other night and there were some kids with their awana's vests on so I went home and looked it up. I'm not sure if the puggles group is new, b/c there aren't any anywhere near us. Most start at the cubbies age group. I might call a few just to see if it isn't on the website?! Glad she likes it!
Molly is looking so much older now. Girl, I'm sure you are going to do just fine in the 5k...heck you'll prob. still beat me! :)
