World's Longest Post

I haven't posted in a while so I've got some catching up to do. First of all... We have been having sleep issues with Molly. It doesn't help that we've had non stop thunder storms in the evenings for the last week. She is afraid of the wind so thunder really freaks her out!
A few nights ago when I put her to bed she said she wanted Avery to sleep with her, so I put Avery in bed with her and sat on the floor next to her bed until she fell asleep. And of course it was so cute I had to take a picture to share with all of you.

We did have one day of nice weather in between all of the rain. It was before I went back to work. We spent a good part of the day outside with the neighbors. The kids played with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. We also got a visit from the ice cream man. We got to use one of those "why didn't I think of that items." It's an ice cream cone and popcicle holder. It's WONDERFUL!! My Momma got it for Molly for Easter at Hobby Lobby. It's got a slot to slide the stick of a popcicle in and on the other side it had a hole for a cone. All the yucky melty stuff just falls into the tray. The large handle is great for small kids too.

As I write this I'm realizing that the weater has really only been bad at night cause we also went to the zoo last weekend. The girls both loved it! There was a baby gorilla there. He was SO cute! We watched him for a while. At one time he went over to his mommy and sat in her lap and she rocked him a little bit. The giraffe exhibit was pretty cool too. They have this tall deck that you walk up to with a window and on the other side are the giraffes. They came right up to the window and licked it. It was really pretty gross and slobbery but neat to get that close to a giraffes face.

Last week I tried to go for a jog. I took April (the dog) and Molly in the jogging stroller. About half way around our loop Molly leaned forward and said "I'm wet mommy." It's been so rainy here that we were dodging puddles the whole time so I just figured that I wasn't doing to good and the splashes somehow got her. I was just suprised at how wet they got her. Her hair was even a little wet. I really didn't think much of it and kept on jogging cause I couldn't turn around and get home any faster. About a minute later I hear a LOUD POP. It was the sound of one of my tires blowing out. So... here I am with Molly wet and my stroller busted... Thankfully I brought my phone so I could call Joey to come get us. I keep it on the top of the canopy along with my water bottle. When I went to get it the mystery of how Molly got so wet was solved... my freezing cold water bottle was leaking on her. She was soaked and SO WAS MY PHONE. It wouldn't work so the rest of the ride home was pretty bumpy and cold.

Target had a sale on their strollers so I decided it was time to upgrade. This one rocks. It's super easy to push and can be towed behind a bike as well.

And since this post isn't long enough already... here is a random one of the girls just having fun at home. (Joey was the photographer)

I love the pic of the girls sleeping in bed together. My aunt keeps telling me that the girls will want to sleep together when they are a little older (hers are 22 months apart).

And I love that big smile... I think is working on trying to smile. But no big smiles yet.
