With a new baby coming we chose to put Molly in a big girl bed when we moved to AR 6 months ago. It's been a challenge! She's never been a great sleeper and she only got worse when she realized she could just hop in and out of her bed with ease. She got into the habit of waking up anywhere between 3 and 5 in the morning and coming into our room to get in our bed. I'm back at work and way too tired to spend the time putting her back in bed... so she was sleeping with us in the morning. That got old really quick because she was the only one getting any sleep. Joey and I decided we had to put an end to that so we started making her get back in her bed. After a few weeks she finally got into the habit of staying in her own room. We bribed her with trips to the donut shop when she would make it all night in her own bed. She still wakes up occasionally but doesn't get out of bed.
Just the other night she slept all night - with no crying - in her own bed. She normally wakes up around 7 but on this particular morning he was still sleeping when I went to get in the shower around 7:20. I went in her room to check on her before getting in the shower and found her on the floor :-) I guess she fell out of bed, or got out of bed and didn't make it very far.
